Confidentiality: The information that (you or your child) share in the AYAP will be handled confidentially and with great care. We will not use your child’s name or likeness or your name or your likeness without seeking explicit permission first. We will also establish and reinforce the confidentiality of ideas shared between youth advisors.
Voluntary participation: Your child’s participation and/or your participation in the AYAP is completely voluntary.
Program expectations: We expect that advisors will regularly reply within one week to our weekly prompts (sent via text) and attend quarterly Zoom meetings. If/when an advisor can’t complete something, they will message to alert the a10d team.
Right to withdraw from the program: You have the right to withdraw your child and yourself from the AYAP at any time. If you and/or your child want to withdraw, please email Meghan Fitzgerald at meghan@a10d.org to let us know, and we’ll take steps to remove your child as soon as possible.
Payment: Though the AYAP is an unpaid volunteer program, advisors do receive stickers and a10d t-shirts, which are theirs to keep.
Using data: The information gathered through the AYAP will be used to inform content, curriculum and culture we create for a10d.org. We may also share some of the data with other aligned organizations and researchers whose missions and approach to youth advisory are aligned with a10d. No entity outside of a10d will have access to personal private information (e.g. name, contact information, etc) of anyone associated with this program.
Please contact Meghan Fitzgerald at meghan@a10d.org to obtain more information or ask a question about the AYAP.
SMS/Text messaging: We will use a secure platform called Simpletexting to send and receive SMS or text messages to and from the phone number you have specify in your agreement form. By agreeing, you are giving us permission to communicate in this way. If you ever want to change the number to which we send text messages, please contact Meghan Fitzgerald at meghan@a10d.org.
